Genesis 10:1 Now this is the history of the generations of the sons of Noach and of Shem, Cham, and Yefet. Sons were born to them after the flood.
Genesis 10:2 The sons of Yefet: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Yavan, Tuval, Meshekh, and Tiras.
Genesis 10:3 The sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, Rifat, and Togarmah.
Genesis 10:4 The sons of Yavan: Elishah, Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.
Genesis 10:5 Of these were the islands of the nations divided in their lands, everyone after his language, after their families, in their nations.
Genesis 10:6 The sons of Cham: Kush, Mitzrayim, Put, and Kena`an.
Genesis 10:7 The sons of Kush: Seva, Chavilah, Savtah, Ra`mah, and Savtekha. The sons of Ra`mah: Sheva and Dedan.
Genesis 10:8 Kush became the father of Nimrod. He began to be a mighty one in the earth.
Genesis 10:9 He was a mighty hunter before the LORD. Therefore it is said, "Like Nimrod, a mighty hunter before the LORD."
Genesis 10:10 The beginning of his kingdom was Bavel, Erekh, Akkad, and Kalneh, in the land of Shin`ar.
Genesis 10:11 Out of that land he went forth into Ashur, and built Nineveh, Rechovot-Ir, Kelach,
Genesis 10:12 and Resen between Nineveh and Kelach (the same is the great city).
Genesis 10:13 Mitzrayim became the father of Ludim, Anamim, Lehavim, Naftuchim,
Genesis 10:14 Patrusim, Kasluchim (which the Pelishtim descended from), and Kaftorim.
Genesis 10:15 Kena`an became the father of Tzidon (his firstborn), Chet,
Genesis 10:16 the Yevusi, the Amori, the Girgashi,
Genesis 10:17 the Chivvi, the `Arki, the Sini,
Genesis 10:18 the Arvadi, the Tzemari, and the Chamati. Afterward the families of the Kena`anim were spread abroad.
Genesis 10:19 The border of the Kena`anim was from Tzidon, as you go toward Gerar, to `Aza; as you go toward Sedom, `Amorah, Admah, and Tzevoyim, to Lasha.
Genesis 10:20 These are the sons of Cham, after their families, after their languages, in their lands, in their nations.
Genesis 10:21 To Shem, the father of all the children of `Ever, the elder brother of Yefet, to him also were children born.
Genesis 10:22 The sons of Shem: `Elam, Ashur, Arpakhshad, Lud, and Aram.
Genesis 10:23 The sons of Aram: `Utz, Chul, Geter, and Mash.
Genesis 10:24 Arpakhshad became the father of Shelach. Shelach became the father of `Ever.
Genesis 10:25 To `Ever were born two sons. The name of the one was Peleg, for in his days the earth was divided. His brother's name was Yoktan.
Genesis 10:26 Yoktan became the father of Almodad, Shelef, Chatzarmavat, Yerach,
Genesis 10:27 Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah,
Genesis 10:28 `Oval, Avima'el, Sheva,
Genesis 10:29 Ofir, Chavilah, and Yovav. All these were the sons of Yoktan.
Genesis 10:30 Their dwelling was from Mesha, as you go toward Sefar, the mountain of the east.
Genesis 10:31 These are the sons of Shem, after their families, after their languages, in their lands, after their nations.
Genesis 10:32 These are the families of the sons of Noach, after their generations, in their nations. Of these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood.
